Enquiry and Research Services
The National Monuments Record (NMR), the public archive of English Heritage is based in Swindon and open to the public. You can visit our Public Search Room and Library, or contact us by letter, telephone, fax or e-mail.
The English Heritage Photo Library is the commercial picture library operated by the NMR, specialising in the supply of images to professional picture buyers. Contact us by telephone or email, or visit English Heritage Images.
There’s no need to visit to find out what we have. You can fill in the Online Enquiry form, or we can search the NMR’s photographs, documents and other records for you using either the free enquiry service, or the priority search or research service (see Enquiry Services). If you’re then interested in any of the material we find you can order copies.
