For this tour Bales have recreated the halcyon days of the 19th century when the aristocracy of Europe would cruise along the Nile Valley in their dahabiyyas. The Jewel in the Crown – 10 days from £2,120
Relive the colonial splendour of India. The classic Jewel in the Crown holiday itinerary reflects the bygone era of the British Empire in India, which Queen Victoria considered the ‘Jewel’ in the Imperial Crown. In Search of Shangri-La – 17 days from £3,885
The ‘In Search of Shangri-La’ itinerary combines the Dragon Kingdom of Bhutan with the remote and spectacular Himalayan state of Sikkim. Your trip begins by heading to Delhi, and then onto Darjeeling, where you will get to enjoy the colourful bazaars, before leaving on Darjeeling’s famous ‘Toy Train’.
