The National Monuments Record in Swindon is open to the public. You may visit in person, or place an enquiry by letter, telephone, fax or e-mail.

Some NMR datasets may be searched online from this website. A free Enquiry Service is designed to answer simple questions, while some added-value services are charged.

If you would like directions to the NMRC or a location map posted to you, please give us a call.   If you intend to visit by car, please phone for directions to our temporary car park.

We are closed on Mondays, Bank Holidays and over the Christmas/New Year period.

Christmas and New Year Break 2008:
22nd December 2008 - 5th January 2009

Our public search room and library will be closed, and our enquiry service will be suspended, from Monday 22nd December until Monday 5th January (inclusive).  We will re-open on Tuesday 6th January 2009.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause and draw your attention to the deadlines below.

Service deadlines:
These are the last day for receipt of orders to allow depatch by Friday 19th December by first class post.  Please note that we can not guarantee a pre Christmas delivery.

Enquiries and orders received during our period of closure will not be acknowledged or dealt with until the week beginning 5th January 2009.
