Garden Tours at Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens
Take your group on an unique guided tour of the 30 acres of gardens at Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens lead by the one person who knows them best: the head gardener.
Created in the 19th century by Sir Charles Monk, Belsay is truly a garden for all seasons. From late winter through to spring the gardens burst into colour with all manner of bulbs and plants. Large drifts of snowdrops greet you as you enter the gardens and the famous Rhododendrons flower from November through to August.
Take a two hour journey of these picturesque gardens with Head Gardener, Jo Hindbaugh.
Hear how the magical Quarry Garden was created with ravines, pinnacles and sheer rock faces inspired by the quarries of Sicily, and admire exotic species of plants that wouldn’t normally survive in the North East.
Pre-book now to create a day to remember.
£5 per person for the garden tour plus normal site admission price (£5 for English Heritage members).
